Hollard Insurance’s transformative annual competition to identify and reward South Africa’s best truck driver is back. The launch of the very successful annual Hollard Highway Heroes 2023 is scheduled to kick-off in March 2023.

The competition will once again be open to the public and includes ALL truck drivers, not just those insured through Hollard.

NEW CATEGORY:

We are very excited that a brand new “Bus” category has been added. This means that all busses/bus drivers will now be able to enter this dedicated category. It is expected that entries in this category will reach a record number of entries.

CATEGORIES:

Categories for Truck drivers include long and short hauls, with sub-categories such as flat-decks, tautliners, reefers, tippers and tankers. Five overall category superstars and one triumphant 2023 Hollard Highway Hero will be scooping their share in cash and prizes at the awards function in November.

PRIZE MONEY:

This amazing campaign has had 10,296 entries and paid out more than R1,357,000 in prize monies since its inception in 2015.

The prize money up for grabs in 2023 is as follows:

SAFER ROADS FOR ALL SOUTH AFRICANS:

To launch the next phase of Highway Heroes and to encourage entries, as well as lay the foundation of creating safer roads for all South Africans, Hollard has recently erected various billboards around the country:

Look out for these eye-catching signs in Midrand, Alberton, and the Malibongwe off-ramp in Gauteng, and in Klipfontein in the Western Cape, and Mooirivier in KwaZulu-Natal!
